How does your media product represent particular social groups?

This is a comparison of the artist I have used in my photographs and the actual artists of Grime and U.K Hip Hop. My artist on the left is similar to the artist on the right in some ways, mainly they both have a confident pose and a general confident look to their character. They both represent the same genre of music however my artist looks more like the stereotypical person from this genre as he is wearing jogging bottoms and fitness wear which belongs to the ‘chav’ subculture and they are the main people that listen to this genre of music. In comparison to the original artist who is wearing slightly more smart clothing but not too smart so you wouldn’t recognise the genre that they artist comes from. They are both white young males which are another massive similarity; even though the majority of stars from this genre are black males there still exists the white race and females. With my artist I wanted him not to be the stereotypical grime/U.K Hip Hop artist and I wanted him to stand out and be slightly different to the rest.
