Looking back at your preliminary task (the school magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

Preliminary magazine

Final Design

As you can see there has been a massive improvement since the preliminary task to the final design. For a start the most obvious thing to me is that the model on the front page of the preliminary task is covering his face and not showing his expression. Which I have really noticed is important since I have been making my final magazine. Also on the preliminary task the cover lines take up too much room on the front cover and do not stay on the sides they simply drift to the centre of the page. This is very unattractive and also makes the main image less effective. Also on my preliminary task the main focus of the magazine was it was a school magazine so the main model should have been in uniform or smarter clothes. Also I have increased my skills on Photoshop so on my final magazine I was able to edit pictures more effectively and crop pictures so they also look 3D, this will draw in people who might then buy your magazine.
